Charli XCX has officially confirmed the title and release date of her next studio project. The pop innovator will unveil the full‑length record titled “Music, Fashion, Film” on 24 July, marking her first major release since the celebrated 2024 album “Brat” and the accompanying remix package.
Cover Art Unveiled
A striking black‑and‑white photograph by visualist Aidan Zamiri serves as the album’s cover. The image groups together the legendary musician John Cale—who teamed up with Charli on the Wuthering Heights soundtrack track “House”—alongside iconic designer Marc Jacobs and acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese. The minimalist composition blends music, style, and cinema, echoing the album’s multifaceted theme.

Tracklist and Length
In a spontaneous post on Instagram, Charli shared that the LP will comprise 11 tracks with a total runtime of 30 minutes 5 seconds. The concise format suggests a focused, high‑energy collection of songs, consistent with her recent output.
Singles and Music Videos
The first preview of the album arrived in early May with the single “Rock Music,” produced by A.G. Cook. The track’s high‑octane video was directed by Aidan Zamiri, delivering a raw, rebellious visual that reinforced rumors of a rock‑inflected direction. Charli had hinted at a potential rock pivot in a British Vogue cover story, but she later clarified on Instagram that the record would not be a full‑blown rock album.
Later that month, a second track titled “SS26” was released, paired with a sleek music video helmed by Torso. The single further showcases Charli’s willingness to experiment with different sonic textures while staying true to her pop foundations.
From brat to Wuthering Heights
“Music, Fashion, Film” follows a prolific period for Charli XCX. The 2024 album brat earned widespread critical acclaim and secured several industry awards, while its remix edition broadened the project’s reach. This year also saw the controversial Wuthering Heights adaptation soundtrack, which sparked conversation across the music and film communities. The new LP is positioned as the next evolutionary step after these successes.
Acting Ventures and Future Projects
Beyond music, Charli XCX continues to expand her creative portfolio. She starred in the A24 mockumentary The Moment, a project scored by A.G. Cook, further cementing her presence in the film world. Additionally, Charli is set to appear as both star and producer in an upcoming horror venture directed by the renowned Takashi Miike, promising a blend of music, fashion, and cinematic horror that aligns with the interdisciplinary ethos of “Music, Fashion, Film.”
