The versatile actor Dhanush packs a punch in his forthcoming film Jagame Thandhiram whose trailer was released by the streaming partner Netflix today. Dhanush who has mesmerized with his electrifying performance in the recently released Karnan is going to don the different role of a gangster from Madhurai, Suruli in his new film.
Set against the backdrop of London, Dhanush confronts with a local gangster played by James Cosmo of Games of Thrones fame with whom he shares a bitter relationship in the past. The Scottish star is making his Indian debut with Jagame Thandhiram and he is going to be a special attraction.
The movie also features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, and Joju George in other important characters. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan who earlier composed for Kaala, Vada Chennai, and Karnan.
The director of Jagame Thandhiram, Karthik Subbaraj who made Petta with Rajinikanth has exuded confidence on this film and according to him, “Jagame Thandhiram is my dream film that was made with the ambition of telling a gripping story about a globally prevalent issue through a locally rooted character in a most interesting and entertaining way. Audiences will yet again see Dhanush bring his immense talent and entertainment to the table across 190 countries on Netflix”.
Jagame Thandhiram, bankrolled by YNOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment is slated for a grand gala world premiere on Netlfix on June 18.
