Indisputably the Spanish series Money Heist is the most binge watched non-English series that enjoys a massive following worldwide. Originally made as La Casa de Papel, the Netflix original has already had four successful seasons and is coming back with the fifth keeping in mind the overwhelming fan mania that gripped this blockbuster series.

The twists that are newer and escapades that never end continued for four seasons and the gang ended the fourth season of the Spanish thriller drama with a bang at the Royal Mint of Spain.
And now the wait of fans is almost over as the trailer of the final instalment which was intense with nail-biting glimpses was dropped today by Netflix amid lot of expectations.
The trailer which obviously is about the ‘final checkmate’ that awaits the gang. The Professor who can be seen tied up in chains with the inspector Alicia Sierra who had managed to nab him at his hideout among other things towards the end of the fourth season keeping him under leash. Do you think Professor will just like that surrender meekly to Alicia though he is chained? That’s not all, there is still more!

The synopsis of the show released earlier mentions, “The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war.”
Season 5 of Money Heist will have two parts releasing in September and December. This marks the reunion of The Professor Marquina (Álvaro Morte) and his gang of criminals. Many characters including Tokyo/Oliveira (Úrsula Corbero), Aníbal/Rio (Miguel Herrán) Denver/Daniel (Jaime Lorente), Mirko/Helsinki (Darko Peric), Arturo (Enrique Arce), and Mónica/Stockholm (Esther Acebo) are reprising their roles in new season.
Patrick Criado and Angel Silvestre will be joining the cast in addition to the existing cast. The show will also capture interesting flashbacks so that fans can rejoice with some more nostalgic moments that bring back old memories including the romantic angle. Of course, the extra action and thrill sequences that are aplenty as evident from the trailer will stand as special attraction along with the enticing plot as the gang has to fight with a new and stronger enemy, the army now.
Money Heist Season 5 will release in two volumes – Vol. 1 on September 3 and Vol. 2 on December 3, 2021 on the Netflix digital platform. Mark the date and let the countdown begin!
