The streaming giant Netflix has come with another anthology Ankahi Kahaniya presenting love in different contexts. Love keeps the world going round and it is the bond that promotes the relationships between all the living species on earth. Life turns out to be meaningless without love and it was described in many ways as it comes in various shapes, hues, and colours to touch every heart in one form or the other during the lifetime of a human being which was pronounced in this anthology Ankahi Kahaniya.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari
The first short film by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari written along with Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain, and Nitesh Tiwari was a take on loneliness faced by Pradeep Loharia (Abhishek Banerjee) who falls in love with a mannequin.
Slick screenplay and effortless performance by Abhishek were the core factors of this beautiful film that outlined the perils of loneliness in a big city that never sleeps like Mumbai. The concept was novel and this was presented with a lot of empathy by Ashwiny who needs a high five for that great effort.
The soothing background score by Achint Thakkar was too good and it goes along with the narrative which was another best part of this film.
Abhishek Chaubey
This flick was based on the Kannada story written by Jayant Kaikini which narrates the tale of two young people Manjari (Rinku Rajguru) and Nandu (Delzad Hiwale) who works in a movie theatre.
The screenplay of Chaubey and Hussain Haidry has very well presented the emotions of a typical love-seeking girl who grows by watching movies and dreams of having a hero in her life too.
Rinku Rajguru fits into any role perfectly and this is her biggest positive feature. Her versatility speaks one more time through the character of Manjari which is in contrast to her earlier fiery character played by her in 200 Hallo Ho.
Delzad too has a good expressive face and he made good use of it while expressing some emotions quite remarkably.
The background score by Naren Chandravarkar and Benedict Taylor adds the extra magic as always and it provides the necessary edge to the narrative.
Saket Chaudhary
Now it’s the turn of urban insecurities and apprehensions between married couples in this film by Saket Chaudhary. The relationship between Arjun (Nikhil Diwedi) and Natasha (Palomi) brings Manav (Kunaal Kapoor), the husband of Natasha, and Tanu (Zoya Hussain), the wife of Arjun closer to figure out the reasons behind the relationship between their spouses.
Kunaal and Zoya who got more screen time were excellent in their performances as they always do and their screen presence makes everything looks quite brighter in this film written by Zeenat Lakhani and Saket Chaudhary.
The background music by Rishabh Shah was spot on that has elevated the narrative of Saket Chaudhary.
Final Verdict
Undoubtedly, love is the winner in this anthology Ankahi Kahaiya that was indeed a delight to watch. All three short films have portrayed love from different perspectives effectively. The three directors, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Abhishek Chaubey, and Saket Chaudhary have succeeded in developing thin storylines centred on love into an absorbing anthology.
