Navarasa,https://snooper-scope.in/navarasa-review-a-heartful-of-emotions-that-embarks-on-a-bumpy-ride/ the anthology depicting nine human emotions from Netflix has received mixed response despite having the best actors and technicians in the Tamil film industry coming together to execute this project. Nevertheless, their effort needs to be appreciated whole heartedly as it was intended towards a noble cause.
The streaming giant’s obsession with anthology continues and it’s the turn of another one titled Ankahi Kahaniya revolving around love and relationships whose trailer was dropped recently.
Ankahi Kahaniya is entirely a different tale comprising of three stories that shows love in different perspectives against the backdrop of Mumbai, the city that never sleeps.
Childhood romance, unconditional love of a man with a mannequin and the love of a couple who are on the edge of separation are the central themes for these three stories.
The three unconventional love stories are directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari of Nil Battey Sannata, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Panga fame, Abhishek Chaubey of Udta Punjab and Sonchirya fame and Saket Chaudhary who is known for the films Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Shaadi Ke Side Effects.
Abhishek Banerjee plays the lead role of a loner in Ashwiny’s flick who gets sucked by the loneliness inflicted by the bubbling city Mumbai and finds solace in a mannequin. This concept sounds interesting to watch and Abhishek is going to exhibit his tremendous acting potential in this unique short once again.
Abhishek Choubey’s short is based on the Kannada story Madhyantara written by Jayant Kaikani. Rinku Rajguru and Delzad Hiwale play the lead roles in this film which was set in Bombay of 80s. Again Mumbai becomes the centre stage and love brews between the two youngsters in a single theatre which are prominent landmarks for romance in those days.
Kunal Kapoor, Zoya Hussain, Nikhil Dwivedi and Palomi feature in the third short directed by Saket Chaudhary with story by Zeenat Lakhani along with Chaudhary. This story revolves around the couple who are on the verge of separation due to various reasons.
Ankahi Kahaniya produced by Ronnie Screwwala under RSVP Movies and Ashi Dua Sara is all set to stream on Netflix on September 17.
