The Latin Recording Academy has unveiled the nominees for the 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, spotlighting a diverse array of artists and recordings that shaped the Latin music scene between June 1 2025 and May 31 2026. This year’s list reflects a broad spectrum of genres, generations, and geographic origins, underscoring the continual evolution of the genre.

Album of the Year Nominees

The Album of the Year category showcases ten recordings that range from contemporary pop to experimental sounds. Anitta’s “Equilibrivm” competes alongside the collaborative effort “Free Spirits” by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso. Jorge Drexler presents “Taracá”, while Silvana Estrada offers “Vendraìn Suaves Lluvias”. Karol G’s “Tropicoqueta” and Mon Laferte’s “Femme Fatale” also appear in the lineup. Additional contenders include Cariìn Leoìn’s “Muda”, Milo J’s “La Vida Era Maìs Corta”, Rawayana’s “¿Doìnde Es El After?”, and Rosalía’s “Lux (Complete Works)”.

Record of the Year Highlights

In the Record of the Year field, voters will consider tracks that have made a notable impact over the eligibility window. CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso’s “Ha Ha” leads the list, followed by Jorge Drexler’s “¿Cómo Se Ama?” and Silvana Estrada’s “Dime”. Loulu Gilberto’s “O Amor Nos Encontrou” and the duet “Coleccionando Heridas” by Karol G and Marco Antonio Soliìs are also nominated. Other entries feature Mon Laferte’s “Femme Fatale”, Cariìn Leoìn’s “Desde Que Te Tengo”, Milo J’s “NinÞo”, Rosalía featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia’s “La Perla”, and Elena Rose’s “Alma”.

Song of the Year Contenders

The Song of the Year accolade honors the writers behind the year’s most compelling compositions. Edgar Barrera, Kevyn Mauricio Cruz, Luis Miguel Gomez CastanÞo, and Karol G are credited for “Coleccionando Heridas”. Jorge Drexler and Diego Loìpez Crespo “Mauro” share writing duties on “¿Cómo Se Ama?”. Silvana Estrada is the sole writer of “Dime”. Mon Laferte wrote “Femme Fatale” independently. A larger collaborative effort appears on “Hasta Jesuìs Tuvo Un Mal Diìa”, which includes contributors such as Rafa Arcaute, Renee Barri, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Vicente Jimenez “Vibarco”, Martin Kierszenbaum, John Ryan, Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, and Federico Vindver. Additional nominees comprise Juanes and Vivir Quintana’s “Humano”, the Rosalía featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia track “La Perla”, Santana featuring Becky G’s “Mi Gran Amor”, Zanna’s “Nilo”, and Milo J’s “Solifican12”.

Best New Artist Lineup

The Best New Artist category introduces ten emerging talents poised to make their mark. The list includes Delilah, FABIAN, Loulu Gilberto, Arath Herce, Macario Martiìnez, maye, Sofia Monroy, Kendall PenÞa, Dora Sanches, ARIA VEGA, and Zeca Veloso. Each act represents a distinct voice within the expanding Latin music landscape.

Voting Process and Timeline

Nominees were selected by the Latin Recording Academy’s membership based on recordings released during the defined eligibility period. To qualify, a track must be a newly recorded piece and contain at least sixty percent of its lyrics in Spanish, Portuguese, or an indigenous regional language. Final voting commences on October 1 2026, with active members of the Academy casting their ballots to determine the winners across all categories.

Where to Watch

The 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on Univision on November 12 2026 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The telecast promises performances, tribute segments, and the announcement of the award recipients in real time.
