The corporate media giant Zee5 and The Viral Factory (TVF) who is famous for its highly rated quality content have joined hands to share content on Zee5 digital platform. Zee5 which has made steady inroads into many regional languages has already had a tie-up with ALTBalaji of Ekta Kapoor for sharing of content.
TVF which is highly prominent for shows like Permanent Roommates, Pitchers, Tripling, Bachelors, Kota Factory, Awkward Conversations, Cheesecake, Cubicles and Hostel Daze along with recent hit series Aspirants which has received positive response all over has become synonymous with quality and contemporary content. TVF is the first streaming service and YouTube channel started by TVF Media Labs founded by Arunabh Kumar way back in 2010 when nobody was aware about the concept of OTT in India.
TVF also had several subsidiaries Girliyapa, The Screen Patti, The Timeliners, Funda Curry, and TVF Machi which are equally popular and associated with many successful shows on YouTube and other video channels.
The partnership between Zee5 and TVF starts a new era in OTT where 13 titles of the latter like Permanent Roommates, Tech Conversations with Dad, Awkward Conversations, PA-Gals, Inmates, Weekends, The Insiders and Zeroes will now find a place in the library of Zee5 and they shall be available on the AVOD (advertising video-on-demand) basis on Zee5.
Furthermore, Zee5 will stream the upcoming new TVF originals, season two of the hit comedy Pitchers, third season of the road-trip comedy drama Tripling and Humorously Yours, Engineering Girls Season 2 and The Aam Aadmi Family Season 4 as a part of this deal.
The founder and now a mentor with TVF Arunabh Kumar has expressed his happiness over joining hands with Zee5 which according to him is a step forward to reach wider audience, “We are always trying to push the boundaries with our characters and stories, and we are confident that with the power of the ZEE5 platform, our teams and stories will win the hearts of millions of new viewers across the country and the world over,” he said.
Meanwhile, Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, Zee5 was highly contented with this partnership and added, “Over 60% of our audience comes from Hindi-speaking markets and TVF caters perfectly to that group. Being a customer-obsessed platform, we are delighted to bring these much-loved and iconic TVF shows to our platform to further enhance our extensive library of purposeful, multilingual, and diverse titles.”
Both Zee5 and TVF are going to benefit from this partnership as Zee5 gets more penetration into the market whereas TVF now enjoys wider audience so that its content can reach far off places across the country resulting in more recognition to its content.
