Step aside, Rashmika Mandanna and Sreeleela—there’s a new star in town, and she’s making waves! Mamitha Baiju, the Malayalam sensation who captivated audiences in Premalu, is now set to take the South Indian film industry by storm with an incredibly thrilling array of projects.

From major Tamil productions to noteworthy Malayalam films, she’s collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry, and frankly, we can’t help but cheer for her.

Dude

Mamitha is joining forces with Pradeep Ranganathan, famous for Love Today and Dragon, in Dude, directed by Keertheeswaran. With an impressive cast that includes R. Sarathkumar, Rohini, Hridu Haron, and Dravid Selvam, this film is already generating excitement. Featuring captivating cinematography by Niketh Bommi and music by Sai Abhyankar, it’s poised to be a Diwali delight in 2025. And here’s the twist—Netflix has secured the streaming rights, indicating just how monumental the anticipation is!

Irandu Vaanam

For fans of Mundasupatti and Ratsasan, the name of director Ramkumar already inspires confidence. Mamitha is set to star alongside Vishnu Vishal in Irandu Vaanam, a film shrouded in mystery that apparently explores two identical worlds. With music composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas and cinematography by Dinesh K Babu, this production from Sathya Jyothi Films is nearing completion, and the excitement is palpable.

Jana Nayagan

This is massive news! While Pooja Hegde takes on the female lead, Mamitha plays a significant role in Vijay’s final film before he turns his focus to politics. The buzz surrounding Jana Nayagan is extraordinary, and being part of a project featuring Vijay is an unparalleled boost to her career. With Anirudh’s music, Sathyan Sooryan’s visuals, and Anl Arasu’s action choreography, this film is certainly headed for blockbuster status.

Suriya 46

Yes, please! Mamitha Baiju alongside Suriya is a dream come true! Directed by Venky Atluri, known for his work in Lucky Bhaskar, this film also features Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon. With GV Prakash handling the music and Nimish Ravi taking care of cinematography, expectations are incredibly high following Venky’s last film, which was a ₹110 crore success.

Untitled Project with Dhanush and Vignesh Raja

Following the success of Por Thozhil, director Vignesh Raja reunites with Dhanush, with Mamitha joining the cast in this mystery thriller. Co-starring Pooja Hegde, anticipation for this project is already building, especially given Vignesh’s track record for delivering edge-of-the-seat narratives.

Untitled Reunion with Sangeeth Prathap

Fans of Premalu, rejoice! Mamitha and Sangeeth Prathap, who played Amal Davis, are set to portray a couple in their next film. Their on-screen chemistry was electric in Premalu, and now they’re ready to take it to new heights!

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit

Mamitha is returning to Malayalam cinema alongside Nivin Pauly in Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, under the direction of Girish AD, known for Premalu. Co-produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran, this project is already garnering attention. With music from Vishnu Vijay, who crafted the hit tracks for Premalu, we can expect another sensational soundtrack.

Lastly, Premalu 2 is also in the pipeline. Although there have been delays, Girish AD has confirmed his enthusiasm for creating a sequel to his blockbuster film.

Mamitha Baiju isn’t just on the rise—she’s taking over the industry. From collaborating with Vijay, Suriya, Dhanush, and Nivin Pauly, she’s proving herself alongside the finest talent. With the success of Premalu still fresh in everyone’s minds, it’s evident that she possesses the charm, the skill, and the promising projects to support her ascent.
