WHEN & WHERE – Date, Venue & Theme

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards will be staged on May 8 2026 at COEX D Hall in Seoul’s Gangnam district. Gucci returns as the title sponsor, and the ceremony’s overarching theme is “The Stage.” The concept expands the idea of a stage beyond theatre to include TV screens, cinema sets, online platforms and live‑musical productions, emphasizing storytelling across every medium.

HOW TO WATCH – TV & Online Streams

South Korea – The gala will air live on JTBC, JTBC2 and JTBC4. The red‑carpet walk‑in begins at 5:50 PM KST, with the main awards segment kicking off at 7:50 PM KST.

International audience –

PRIZM mobile app – free live stream with optional subtitles in English, Spanish and Japanese.

Naver CHZZK – the ceremony streams on the CHZZK Entertainment channel; the platform also offers a “watch‑party” feature for simultaneous viewing with friends worldwide.

Both services will provide a “behind‑the‑scenes” feed featuring backstage interviews and exclusive photo galleries.

HOSTS, PRESENTERS & SPECIAL GUESTS

For the eighth consecutive year, the trio Shin Dong‑yup, Bae Suzy and Park Bo‑gum will anchor the night, promising their trademark chemistry and witty banter.

A star‑studded lineup of presenters has already been confirmed, including Jung Sung‑il, Noh Yoon‑seo, Yoo Jae‑myung, Lee Soo‑ji, Kim Shin‑rok, Jo Jung‑suk, Kim Tae‑ri, Park Eun‑bin, Song Kang and many more. Expect surprising pairings and spontaneous moments throughout the ceremony.

In celebration of 60 years of Korean musical theatre, the Baeksang Awards introduces a Musical division.

Creative Achievement (Musical) – Seo Byung‑goo (Evita, choreography), Oh Lupina (Mad Hatter, direction), Oh Sang‑jun (ARANG, original score) and Lee Sun‑young (Laika, original score).

Best Performer (Musical) – Kim Junsu (Beetlejuice), Min Kyoung‑ah (Red Book), Park Eun‑tae (Man in Hanbok) and Hong Kwang‑ho (Moulin Rouge!).

The Theatre segment also highlights fresh talent with nominations for Best Young Theatre and Best Performer categories, showcasing productions such as ZOOM IN: CHEKHOV and Function Domino.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE RED CARPET

Expect a dazzling fashion showcase as celebrities arrive in haute couture, surprise collaborations between drama stars and musical performers, and moment‑ous acceptance speeches that may set the tone for Korea’s entertainment trends in 2027.
