Vitthal Teedi is the new Gujarati web series featuring Pratik Gandhi who will be seen donning the role of a gambler. This series, written by Bhargav Purohit and directed by Abhishek Jain is ready to stream on Gujarati digital platform Oho Gujarati from May 7.

Vitthal Teedi, based on the eponymous short story by Mukesh Sojitra, also stars Ragi Jani, Prashant Barot, Prem Gadhavi, Brindra Trivedi, Jagjeetsinh Vadher and Shraddha Dangar apart from Pratik Gandhi essaying the role of Vitthal who grows up in a village playing cards for money, and becomes a renowned gambler after he moves to the big city.

This is going to be another challenging role for 40-year old Gujarati theatre artiste and film actor Pratik Gandhi. A complete actor who has his roots in theatre has done as many as 15 plays during his theatre career spanning over 10 years. Then he went on to act predominantly in Gujarati films and prominent among them is Wrong Side Raju in 2016 which won the National Award for Best Gujarati Film.

But it’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, directed by eminent director Hansal Mehta which got the name and fame for the highly talented Pratik Gandhi. No doubt, the latest web series Vitthal Teedi which portrays him in a different shade is also going to be another feather in his cap. Let’s wait till May 7 to know more about his performance in this series.
