Television audiences are getting a stylish, pulse-pounding preview of what promises to be one of the most intense action dramas in recent years. AMC+ has officially revealed initial promotional imagery for its high-octane thriller series Kill Jackie, offering entertainment fans a glimpse into a world filled with luxury, secret pasts, and relentless danger.
Leading the project is award-winning performer Catherine Zeta-Jones, widely recognized for her celebrated roles in iconic films like Chicago and hit series like Wednesday. The upcoming eight-episode drama is based on the popular literary work The Price You Pay, written by author Nick Harkaway under his pen name Aidan Truhen—the creative force behind novels like Karla’s Choice and Tigerman.
A High-Stakes Narrative of Survival and Retribution
The storyline centers on Jackie Price, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, who has spent two decades enjoying an affluent and tranquil lifestyle. Spending her time traveling to exotic locations around the world while trading in rare art pieces, Jackie has successfully kept her identity concealed after fleeing a dangerous background as an international narcotics smuggler.
Her peaceful routine comes to a sudden and dangerous halt when she learns that a ruthless syndicate of elite assassins, known as The Seven Demons, has been hired to eliminate her. Believing that a figure from her past is behind the contract, Jackie decides not to hide. Instead, she awakens her old survival instincts and launches a daring counter-attack. Her goal is simple yet deadly: hunt down and eliminate each member of The Seven Demons before they can carry out their mission. However, her mission forces her to confront painful personal secrets that pose a far greater threat than the killers on her trail.
