The trailer of the upcoming Tamil psycho-mystery thriller film Bagheera starring Prabhu Deva in the lead role along with Amyra Dastur, Sakshi Agarwal, Janani Iyer and Gopinath Ravi was launched recently.
The trailer of the film has amassed around 1.5 million views in a day after its release. The film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by R.V. Bharathan under Bharathan Pictures while the soundtrack and film score is composed by Ganesan Sekar, the cinematography is by Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing is handled by Ruben.
Bagheera is a remake of 2015 South Korean film Veteran which was the fifth highest-grossing film in Korean cinema history. Prabhu Deva portrays the character of a psychotic man who murders women while claiming that he is an avenger for those men who have been betrayed and left heartbroken by women and is punishing the latter for the same.
Prabhu Deva’s bald look as a serial killer in the trailer looks horrifying which resembles the character of Ashutosh Rana in Sangharsh (1996) that was spine chilling.
The trailer of the upcoming film, whose theatrical release date is yet to be announced by the makers, looks extremely promising. Prabhu Deva has pushed himself out of his comfort zone and has given his best as seen in the trailer, the other actors who are seen portraying pivotal roles have also given quite a good performance which raised the expectations among the audience who are eagerly waiting for the release of the film.
Although director Adhik Ravichandran’s previous film bombed at the box-office, it seems his latest film may turn over a new leaf in his career and put it right back on the track. While the trailer of Bagheera has been getting all the praises, the theatrical release will actually decide the fate of the film in coming days.
