Jimmy Sheirgill plays the SHO Manoj Hesi along with Asha Negi who also plays the intense character of a cop in the thriller Collar Bomb whose trailer was released today by the streaming partner Disney+Hotstar.
Jimmy who is a celebrated cop with a haunted past has to follow the commands of a suicide bomber who threatens to blow off the school. It’s a tricky situation for Jimmy who finds himself between the devil and the deep sea.
Disney+Hotstar, the most popular streaming platform has released the synopsis of the Collar Bomb which was as intriguing as the trailer, “Haunted by his own past, a glorified cop’s life is thrown into chaos as he is forced to commit a series of heinous crimes before a suicide bomber blows up a school. As he races against time to complete this scavenger hunt from hell, the idyllic town around him descends to madness, confronted by an evil that seems to have no other objective than to strike raw, primal, terror. Over the course of the film, the mystery around the cop’s own past is also unraveled.”
Bankrolled by Yoodlee Film, written by Nikhil Nair of Serious Men fame and directed by Dnyanesh Zoting, Collar Bomb also features Rajshri Deshpande and Sparsh Shrivastav in other important characters.
Jimmy Sheirgill who has impressed with the web series Rangbaaz Phirse (Zee5) and Your Honour (SonyLiv) will be seen in a different character who has to race against time and he is extremely confident about the plot and his character in Collar Bomb which was reflected in his own words, “Collar Bomb is a really special project for me as it’s a highly captivating thriller series about an unimaginable hostage situation. While I have portrayed the role of a police officer before, the role of SHO Manoj is much more intense, complex, and dark, thereby allowing me to play around with a range of complex emotions.”
Collar Bomb which is full of twists and turns with the edge of the seat moments to keep the viewer hooked will be releasing on July 9.
