Time for your weekly roundup of the latest OTT offerings! In this week from June 16 to June 22, you can look forward to an exciting mix of films and series sure to satisfy all your binge-watching cravings. Detective Sherdil features Diljit Dosanjh in a quirky murder mystery set against Budapest’s chic scenery, while The Great Indian Kapil Show makes a comeback with even more laughter, celebrity escapades, and the unexpected return of Navjot Singh Sidhu. Grenfell: Uncovered presents a gripping documentary that delves into the systemic failures surrounding the tragic Grenfell Tower fire of 2017. Additionally, E. Lockhart’s best-selling novel We Were Liars is brought to life in a suspenseful live-action adaptation.

The Buccaneers season 2 (June 18) (Apple TV+)

The Buccaneers returns for its second season, where American newcomers seamlessly integrate into the British society of the 1870s, managing duchess responsibilities, scandalous family secrets, and turbulent love triangles. The formidable Duchess of Tintagel, Nan, confronts the startling revelation of her birth mother’s existence, caught between a reliable duke and a passionate former love. Jinny, now pregnant, escapes a violent marriage and navigates her new life as a fugitive under the relentless scrutiny of public opinion and tabloid headlines.

Meanwhile, Mabel and Honoria grapple with a secret romance in a society that refuses to accept them. Newcomer Leighton Meester’s enigmatic character, Nell, adds further intrigue as loyalties and morals become increasingly ambiguous. The cast features Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Aubri Ibrag, and Josie Totah, among others.

We Were Liars (June 18) (Prime Video)

This psychological thriller, adapted from E. Lockhart’s bestselling novel, centers on 17-year-old Cadence Sinclair Eastman (Emily Alyn Lind) as she returns to her family’s private island in New England after a mysterious accident erases her summer memories.

As she reconnects with her close-knit group known as “the Liars,” Cadence must uncover hidden truths, peeling back layers of privilege, family secrets, and buried guilt to discover what truly transpired two summers ago. Set against a backdrop of opulent mansions and perfect beaches, she navigates a tangled web of wealth and deceit where loyalty is a commodity and every smile hides a lie.

The Waterfront (June 19) (Netflix)

Kevin Williamson (of Dawson’s Creek and Scream fame) directs this tale of the Buckley family, North Carolina’s fishing dynasty. After two heart attacks, patriarch Harlan (Holt McCallany) returns to chaos, as his wife Belle (Maria Bello) and son Cane (Jake Weary) struggle with dwindling catches, growing debts, and a crooked deal with drug dealer Grady (Topher Grace), who introduces unpredictable danger into their lives.

Meanwhile, Bree (Melissa Benoist) fights her way through the challenges of a new relationship, a custody battle, and the immense shame tied to her distressed legacy, all while grappling with her battle against addiction.

Detective Sherdil (June 20) (Zee5)

In Detective Sherdil, Diljit Dosanjh stars as a charmingly eccentric investigator dispatched to Budapest, seeking to solve the murder of a flamboyant billionaire, initially branded as a ‘hate crime.’ Partnered with the pragmatic Natasha (Diana Penty), Sherdil must navigate a treacherous path of family conflicts, covert betrayals, and billion-dollar secrets that refuse to fade away.

With a vivid ensemble cast featuring Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, Chunky Panday, Banita Sandhu, and Sumeet Vyas, the investigation proves as colorful as it is convoluted.

Found Season 2 (June 20) (JioHotstar)

The second season of Found sees crisis manager-turned-crime-fighter Gabi Mosely leading her unconventional team as they tackle America’s most overlooked missing persons cases. As Gabi’s dark past resurfaces, the stakes are heightened. After secretly imprisoning her kidnapper, ‘Sir,’ in her basement, she confronts dire consequences when he escapes.

Amid emotionally charged and socially relevant cases—ranging from hate-driven disappearances to neurodivergent children slipping through the cracks—the team faces inner turmoil as Gabi’s secret fractures their trust. Margaret becomes obsessed with finding her missing son, while everyone else grapples with personal struggles.

Grenfell: Uncovered (June 20) (Netflix)

This powerful documentary unites survivors, mourning families, firefighters, and investigators to recount the tragic events of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire. It intricately exposes layers of regulatory failure, cost-cutting measures, and corporate collusion that transformed a preventable catastrophe into a devastating inferno claiming 72 lives.

Merging personal accounts from residents and firefighters who faced toxic conditions, the narrative weds emotional testimony with forensic analysis, revealing a series of failures that spanned government and industry.

Olympo (June 20) (Netflix)

This riveting Spanish drama follows the life of synchronized swim captain Amaia Olaberria, who faces the scrutiny of perfection at the CAR Pirineos high-performance center. Her world shatters when her teammate and best friend Núria unexpectedly outshines her, prompting Amaia to reconsider the reasons behind Núria’s sudden success.

Amidst grueling training sessions and emotional battles, the young athletes must confront physical challenges, romantic complications, performance-enhancing secrets, and the burgeoning queer desires hidden beneath the pressure of competition.

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 (June 21) (Netflix)

The Great Indian Kapil Show returns with its signature mix of chaos, humor, and celebrity antics, as both Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh step into the judging spotlight. As Kapil Sharma reclaims his role as India’s master of comedy, he is joined by beloved cast members Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur, all ready to deliver entertainment.

From Sidhu’s humorous one-liners to Archana’s infectious laughter and Kapil’s spontaneous roasts of guests and audience, the show promises an unfiltered fusion of nostalgia and fresh content, featuring unique new interactive segments that put the audience in the spotlight.
