Starting this July, the magic of the Wizarding World is making a grand debut across the Paramount family of networks. In a significant multi-year licensing deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount has secured the exclusive linear television rights to the complete Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts film libraries. This monumental agreement brings nearly 40 hours of cinematic wonder—spanning 11 iconic films—to viewers via MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, and the Paramount Network.

Laurel Weir, the executive overseeing programming and acquisitions for Paramount Media Networks, expressed enthusiasm regarding the partnership. She noted that integrating such an illustrious franchise into their lineup reaffirms their dedication to offering top-tier entertainment to diverse audiences. Weir highlighted that these timeless stories continue to enchant viewers of every generation, ensuring that the adventure remains accessible to fans both old and new.

A Summer of Spells: Where to Catch the Magic

The rollout of this magical content begins on Friday, July 3, with a series of network-specific events:

  • MTV: Kicking off the festivities, MTV will host a massive marathon featuring all eight films from the original Harry Potter series during the holiday weekend, starting at 12:00 PM ET/PT.
  • Paramount Network: Starting Monday, July 13, the Paramount Network will dedicate a full week to the franchise. The schedule includes evening airings of all 11 films, with weekend marathons commencing at noon.
  • Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite: Throughout August, Nick at Nite will air the original series, with encore presentations following on Nickelodeon. Furthermore, as part of the worldwide “Back to Hogwarts” celebrations, Nickelodeon will feature a special programming block over the Labor Day weekend, beginning September 3.

A Legacy That Continues to Grow

It has been over 25 years since Harry Potter first encountered Rubeus Hagrid, marking the beginning of a journey that would forever alter the landscape of modern popular culture. What began as a series of novels by J.K. Rowling has blossomed into a vast, interconnected universe that thrives today. Beyond the 11 feature films, the franchise has expanded into stage productions, immersive theme park lands at Universal Studios, and high-tech gaming experiences.

The brand has also established a physical presence through retail destinations like the flagship store in New York and curated touring exhibitions. For those seeking a deeper look into the filmmaking process, the studio tours in London and Tokyo offer an intimate window into the artistry behind the curtain. With a new television series set for the streaming era, the Wizarding World continues to find innovative ways to unite its global fanbase.

The Complete Collection

This extensive agreement covers the entire cinematic history of the franchise, including:

The Harry Potter Series:

  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

The Fantastic Beasts Films:

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
  • Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
  • Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
