Sophie Turner Fronts High-Stakes Drama in Prime Video’s Steal

Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer and artwork for its upcoming thriller Steal, a six-episode series set to premiere globally on January 21, 2026. Starring Sophie Turner, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, and Archie Madekwe, this contemporary crime drama promises a fast-paced blend of suspense, action, and character-driven storytelling.

In Steal, Sophie Turner steps into the role of Zara, an unassuming employee at Lochmill Capital—a firm managing pension investments for everyday people. What begins as an ordinary workday quickly spirals into chaos when a group of armed criminals storms the office. Zara and her closest friend Luke, played by Archie Madekwe, are forced to aid the intruders in carrying out a daring theft worth billions.

But this isn’t just another smash-and-grab. The crime cuts deep into the financial lifelines of countless citizens, raising the question: who would target pension funds, and to what end?

Jacob Fortune-Lloyd portrays DCI Rhys, the detective tasked with unraveling the mystery behind the heist. Rhys, however, faces his own demons—a recent relapse into gambling threatens to compromise his investigation. As he delves deeper, he encounters hidden motives, conflicting interests, and a web of deception that extends far beyond the crime scene.

The series, created and written by Sotiris Nikias, is brought to life by executive producers Greg Brenman and Rebecca de Souza, along with producer Nuala O’Leary. Direction is shared by Sam Miller and Hettie MacDonald. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Drama Republic, Steal blends sharp narrative turns with an adrenaline-fueled pace, setting the stage for what could be one of Prime Video’s standout releases of 2026.

With all six episodes dropping at once, Steal is designed for binge-watching. Viewers can expect a mix of tense hostage drama, intricate detective work, and moral dilemmas that challenge every character’s loyalties.

Fans of Sophie Turner—known for her standout performances in Game of Thrones and The Staircase—will see her in a new light here, portraying a protagonist caught between survival and uncovering the truth. Alongside Turner, Fortune-Lloyd (Bodies, The Queen’s Gambit) and Madekwe (Saltburn, Gran Turismo) round out a cast that promises layered performances to match the show’s intense storyline.

If the trailer is any indication, Steal will deliver a gripping watch for crime drama enthusiasts and fans of high-stakes thrillers alike.
