Miley Cyrus has confirmed the arrival of her tenth studio album, titled “Bass Persuades”, scheduled for release on September 18. The announcement comes paired with two headline shows at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, set for October 16 and October 18. This marks a notable return to large‑scale live performances for the artist, who has largely stepped back from traditional touring in recent years.
The new record follows her 2024 effort “Something Beautiful”, which peaked at number four on the Billboard 200. Described by Cyrus as a collection that is “powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong,” the album aims to capture a broad spectrum of emotion and experience. The ten‑track lineup includes the title song “Bass Persuades”, along with collaborations such as “Different Religion” featuring Model/Actriz, “Neon Signs” with Andrew Wyatt, and a remixed version of the closing track. Other songs on the list are “Let’s Get Married”, “Orbit”, “Aftermath”, “REDLIGHTS”, “Innocent Ways”, and “Snow”.
In addition to the musical reveal, Cyrus shared the album’s black‑and‑white cover art, which depicts her holding a rose between her lips. She accompanied the announcement with a short teaser video showing her playing an electric guitar while dressed in a white jumpsuit, hinting at a more experimental and gritty sonic direction. In the caption of the teaser she wrote, “Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between,” reinforcing the thematic depth she intends to explore.
The Hollywood Bowl concerts are positioned as a homecoming of sorts for the artist. In an Instagram post she noted, “It’s been a while,” and described the venue as her favorite place to experience music and see her favorite artists. Cyrus added that while she has sat in the Bowl’s seats many times, she has never taken the stage there, calling Los Angeles her heart and promising to bring it home to her fans. Ticketing details indicate that American Express cardholders will receive a presale on September 8, with additional presales leading up to the general sale on September 10 via Ticketmaster.
Cyrus also confirmed a shift in her label affiliation, moving from Sony Music to Warner Music Group’s Atlantic Records. “Bass Persuades” will be her first project under the new partnership, signaling a fresh chapter in her career trajectory. The move follows a period of deliberate mystery in her promotional strategy, where billboards and social media posts simply displayed the name “Miley” and her handle was altered to drop the surname, building anticipation among fans.
Reflecting on her previous successes, the blockbuster single “Flowers” from the album “Endless Summer Vacation” earned her a Grammy and cemented her status as a leading pop figure. With “Bass Persuades” she aims to build on that momentum while venturing into new artistic territory. The combination of a deeply personal album, high‑profile live shows, and a strategic label change suggests that Cyrus is poised to redefine her presence in the contemporary music landscape.
