With big players like Netflix too joining the race in promoting regional content by targeting Tamil as well as Telugu viewers, SonyLIV too which doesn’t want to fall behind has joined the race and its going to make its debut in Telugu by bagging the streaming rights of the comedy family drama Vivaha Bhojanambu whose trailer was released on Wednesday.
This is a significant development for SonyLIV after Sreedhar Reddy who owns Madhura Audio and a filmmaker himself has taken charge as the Head of Telugu Content of SonyLIV. Sreedhar Reddy who is going to make SonyLIV a formidable digital platform with his expertise and experience has taken the first step in this direction by acquiring Vivaha Bhojanambu, a family comedy-drama made with the lockdown backdrop.
This is the story of a stingy man played by popular comedian Satya whose lockdown wedding throws his life into utter chaos. Bankrolled by the popular actor Sundeep Kishan who also will be seen in a cameo and K.S. Sinesh, and jointly produced by Anandi Arts, Soldiers Factory, Venkatadri Talkies, Vivaha Bhojanmbu is directed by Ram Abbaraju.
Aarjeevee, Sudarshan, Srikanth Iyengar, Subbaraya Sharma, Late TNR, Viva Harsha, Shivan Narayana, Madhumani, Nitya Sree, Kireeti Damaraju, Dhaya, and Kalpa Latha will be seen in other important characters in this film.
Vivaha Bhojanambu inspired by true events is full of many hilarious scenes as seen from the trailer and it will be a perfect launching pad for SonyLIV in Telugu as it had all the ingredients that appeal to all sections of the audience. The family audience in particular will enjoy the film for its authentic portrayal of incidents that take place in the family of a common man.
The premiere date of this wholesome entertainer is yet to be announced.
