Aranya (Telugu), Kaadan (Tamil), and Haathi Mere Saathi (Hindi) is a socially relevant film starring the Bahubali fame Rana Daggubati in the lead role. Allaying all apprehensions, this film is releasing next week in theaters all over and the trailer released recently gives a sneak peak into this film which is high on environment consciousness with a touch of commercial elements added to enhance its reach.

The film directed by Prabhu Solomon is a take on exposing the corporate leeches who do not leave the forests and want to grab them too for expanding their businesses and earn more money. The flora and fauna present in one of the jungles including elephants gets displaced by the evil designs of corporates with cohesive support of politicians. This enrages the protagonist and his elephants who have to fight it out to save their jungle which is nothing but their mother land. Rana playes the role of protagonist in all three versions while Pulkit Samrat plays Rana’s parallel lead in the Hindi and Vishnu Vishal essays the role in Tamil and Telugu.

Inspired by the unfortunate event of humans encroaching upon the elephant corridor in Kaziranga, Assam, the film traces the narrative of a man who dedicates most of his life living in the jungle with the sole purpose of protecting the wild animals.

The film was shot in live locations, four forest locations in Kerala, Mahabaleshwar, and Mumbai in India and in Thailand. It took 250 days of shoot involving as many as 145 cast and crew members.

The VFX for the film has been done by Prana Studios who worked for Hollywood films like Life of Pie, Thor, and our own Detective Bymokesh Bakshi and the grandeur will be clearly seen on the big screen and the sound design by Academy Award winner Rasool Pookutty and the cinematography work by Ashok Kumar are the other major highlights of the film. The elephant by name Unni needs special mention as its going to be the special attraction in the film.

Produced by Eros International, Zoya Hussain, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Anant Mahadevan play other important characters in Aranya that is a big shout out to save elephants and environment.
