Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer of latest web series The Last Hour starring Sanjay Kapoor and Raima Sen in lead roles. Bankrolled by Amit Kumar and the Academy Award winning director Asif Kapadia who made remarkable films Mind Hunter, Senna, and Amy, this supernatural crime thriller consists of an intriguing plot that is quite riveting.

Sanjay Kapoor plays the character of Arup, a tough cop who is on a mission to probe the mystery behind five murders comes across Dev (Karma Tapaka), a shaman who can talk to the souls of the dead. As a result, Dev turns into a local informant for the police and subsequently falls in love with Pari, the daughter of Arup.

From here, The Last Hour takes many turns with skeletons keep tumbling down from the closets. Arup faces the dilemma of cracking the mystery behind the murders on the other hand and his daughter’s love for Dev. Above all, there is something suspicious about the character of Arup which is quite puzzling.

The Last Hour, created by Amit Kumar and Anupama Minz also features Shahana Goswami, Shaylee Krishen,  Robin Tamang and Mandikini Goswami in other important characters.

According to Sanjay Kapoor, The Last Hour has a ‘unique concept and narrative’. He further added with lot of excitement, “Having played a host of diverse roles in films over the last 26 years, I was thrilled when I was approached to be a part of this supernatural crime thriller to play the lead character of Arup. Working in The Last Hour has truly been an amazing experience for me.”

Karma Tapaka also is all praise for Amit for choosing him and expressed confidence that the audience will love this ‘gripping storyline, laced with supernatural elements’. He too shared his happiness by saying, “I am a director and I never thought Amit would approach me to audition for this intense role of Dev, a Shaman. When I was narrated the script, I knew right away that I want to be a part of this series. The Last Hour, having been set in the Northeast region of India, is very close to my heart as I belong to Sikkim.”

The Last Hour is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video on May 14.
