Tune is a musical sci-fi short film from Home Craft Cinema available on YouTube. It’s a short film that conveys a lot in the short span of 15 minutes which is quite appealing.
Conceived and directed by Santhosh Narayanan, Tune was totally shot in lockdown, amidst closed surroundings by using the available resources, Tune depicts the bond between love and music in a heart touching manner. An alien who was mistaken by two children as a Bluetooth speaker falls in love with the music. The bond that prevails between people and the impact created by love and music even on aliens leave alone people is the redeeming feature of the Tune.
The children who were seen in the short film Abinandhan and Kaayampoo look quite natural and the voice overs given by Abinandhan and Santhosh to the speaker and light respectively are equally brilliant.
The cinematography handled by Mogin Manas and Dinesh is splendid and creativity of Santhosh Narayan is apparent in the visuals he used. The music numbers from the compositions of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman add the silver lining to this wonderful short film.
Tune is a decent and honest effort with an excellent underlying message that spread love and music is highly recommended and a must watch for all.
