The most engrossing drama behind cricket Inside Edge web series is getting ready for Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video. The Inside Edge which exposed the darker sides of the country’s most prestigious cricket tournament PPL will bring “More cricket. More drama. More entertainment.” according to the announcement made today by the streaming platform.
The series dwells on the most fancied team Mumbai Mavericks in the tournament owned by Yashvardhan Patil (Aamir Bashir) and his daughter Mantra Patil (Sapna Pabbi) with Zarina Malik (Richa Chadha) being the co-owner.
The season 2 that ended on a suspenseful note as Mumbai Mavericks receives a two-year ban following charges of match-fixing and illegal betting even resulting in the jail term for its owner Mantra Patil.
The first season of the Inside Edge was more interesting rather than the second one as it got more politicized in the second outing while the first one has explored the darker corners behind the cricket field in an affable way.
The third season is all poised to be an outright entertainer with more changes in equations and strategies coming to the fore to present the murkier side of the game by adding new twists and turns as Zarina and Vikrant were seen together embarking on a new journey at the end of Season 2.
Produced by Excel Entertainments of Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Inside Edge is created by Karan Anshuman, the third season will be helmed by Kanishk Varma.
While Richa Chadha, Tanuj Virwani, Sayani Gupta, and Vivek Oberoi are reprising their roles, Aamir Bashir, Amit Sial, Akshay Oberoi and Sidhant Gupta will be seen in other important roles.
