The teaser of Haseen Dillruba starring Tapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane in lead roles was released recently by the streaming partner Netflix. Produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of Colour Yellow Productions, Eros International, and T-Series, Haseen Dillruba  is written by Kanika Dhillon of Judgementall Hai Kya and Manmarziyaan fame with music by Amit Trivedi.

One of the producers, Rai, has called the film “a twisted love story.” He further elaborated that with Haseen Dillruba, they are exploring the murder mystery genre for the first time and expressed confidence that the audience finds it entertaining and engaging.

Tapsee who last appeared in Thappad has won many laurels while Vikrant has earned accolades for his brilliant portrayal in Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Cargo, and Ginny Weds Sunny. Tapsee also had a couple of interesting films in hand like Looop Lapeta, Dobaaraa, Shabaash Mithu, and Rashmi Rocket which are quite distinct anough to bring the best out of her.

Haseen Dillruba also is going to present Tapsee in a different angle delving into lust, obsession, and deceit revolving around darker shades of love. She has said in an interview about the film and her character as, “Hindi pulp fiction will have a strong influence on this film. Again, this is something I haven’t done before.” In addition she had also described her character as a ‘self obsessed borderline narcissist’ in one of her Instagram posts.

Directed by Vinil Mathew who earlier made the romcom Hasee Toh Phasee, Haseen Dillruba will stream on Netflix digital platform on July 2.
