The movie ShashtiPoorthi, produced by Rupeysh under the MAA AAIE Productions banner, stars Rupeysh and Akanksha Singh in the lead roles, with direction by Pavan Prabha. Legendary actor Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Archana play pivotal roles in the film, which is scheduled to premiere on May 30. So far, the songs and teaser released as part of the promotional campaign have generated considerable excitement among audiences.

On Saturday, May 24, the trailer launch took place at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada, graced by prominent attendees including Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Ramamohan and Penamaluru MLA Bode Prasad.

The trailer opens with a thought-provoking line delivered by the hero:

“A mother is someone we love even before we truly know who she is… A father lifts us onto his shoulders, showing us a world that is unfamiliar to him.”

Another significant line that resonates powerfully is:

“It is my responsibility to rectify injustices… Upholding justice is my vocation.”

Additionally, Dr. Rajendra Prasad shares a poignant thought: “Do not speak of change while clinging to familiar habits, rather than embracing the person.” The trailer concludes with gripping scenes and impactful statements such as:

“If everything unfolds according to plan, how can that be called life?”

“Not just me — no one deserves to endure a situation like this.”

The speakers generally encouraged audiences to watch and support the film, which is set to release on May 30.Dr. Rajendra Prasad remarked, “When I first encountered the title ShashtiPoorthi, I was taken aback. I wondered if I was the only one being offered roles that align with my age. I had attempted to evade my own ShashtiPoorthi (60th birthday celebration) in real life, yet here it is portrayed in a film. That’s quite fortunate for me as an actor. I express my gratitude to my brothers Ramamohan and Prasad for their presence here today.

We never delve into politics during our gatherings.

People often used to say, ‘We have songs for weddings and funerals, but none for ShashtiPoorthi.’ Now we do — and it has been composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja!

Pavan Prabha possesses outstanding musical sensibilities. He even arranged for a song to be penned by Keeravani. Chaitanya Prasad has also contributed many exceptional songs.

Our film serves as a reflection of Telugu culture and tradition. Typically, children do not witness their parents’ wedding ceremonies — but ShashtiPoorthi marks a celebration where cultures unite.”

It was truly delightful to collaborate with Archana once more after so many years. Our hero and producer, Rupeysh, has dedicated immense effort to this project. Akanksha delivered an outstanding performance. This film is made for all the Telugu audience. Our movie is set to be released on May 30. We kindly ask you to watch and support us.
