Streaming giant Netflix has officially shared the promotional poster and debut trailer for its highly anticipated television project, “Pride and Prejudice.” This fresh six-part limited series features Emma Corrin in the role of Elizabeth Bennet alongside Jack Lowden as the enigmatic Mr. Darcy. Fans of period dramas can mark their calendars, as the show is scheduled to make its global premiere on December 3, 2026.

Navigating Romance and Societal Pressures
The narrative kicks into motion when affluent bachelors move into the neighborhood. Consequently, the five Bennet siblings must carefully maneuver through the complexities of romance, familial duty, and strict societal norms to secure stable futures for themselves.
While Jane quickly becomes enchanted by the amiable Mr. Bingley, Elizabeth immediately locks horns with his arrogant companion, Mr. Darcy. However, a series of unforeseen circumstances and embarrassing family gossip compel Elizabeth to re-evaluate her harsh judgments and uncover what genuine affection truly means.

A Creative Team Committed to Classic Storytelling
As one of the most celebrated literary works in history, this timeless text transitions to the streaming platform through a traditional, highly faithful six-part adaptation. The script is penned by acclaimed writer Dolly Alderton, known for her work on Everything I Know About Love, while the direction is handled by Euros Lyn, recognized for Heartstopper.
Dolly Alderton, who serves as both writer and executive producer, emphasized the enduring appeal of the source material. “The emotional core of the novel remains just as relevant today as it was in 1812,” she noted.
Elaborating further, Alderton explained, “Audiences connect with the universal anxieties featured in the story—the embarrassment caused by one’s relatives, the dread of being left behind, worries about the future, and the humbling realization of misjudging someone. We turn to this book because it mirrors our own innermost feelings.”
The production features a robust creative team. Executive producers include Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter representing Lookout Point, alongside Dolly Alderton, Euros Lyn, and lead star Emma Corrin. Additionally, Lisa Osborne takes on the role of producer.
