Amazon MGM Studios has announced a significant update on the production status of its forthcoming Reacher spin-off, Neagley. Danish actress Maria Sten will lead the series, reprising her role as private investigator Frances Neagley.
The show’s synopsis reveals, “When Frances Neagley discovers that a cherished friend from her past has died in a dubious accident, she becomes determined to seek justice. Drawing on everything she has learned from Jack Reacher and her experience with the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley embarks on a perilous journey to expose a lurking malevolence.“
On Instagram, Sten posted a behind-the-scenes image from the Neagley set, confirming that production on the Reacher spin-off has been officially completed. The image depicts Sten with a bloodied and bruised face, hinting at the character’s thrilling action scenes in the series.
The Reacher spin-off is created and executive produced by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, inspired by Lee Child’s series of Jack Reacher novels. The cast features Greyston Holt (The Night Agent), Jasper Jones (King Ivory), Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Matthew Del Negro (Mayor of Kingstown), and Damon Herriman (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), with Alan Ritchson set to return as Jack Reacher.
Frances Neagley was first introduced as one of Jack Reacher’s colleagues from the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. In the spin-off, she will operate as a private investigator in Chicago. Executive producers include Child, Don Granger, Lisa Kussner, David Ellison, Goldberg, and Matt Thunell. The series is a collaboration among Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios.
