BTS, a South Korean boys band started in 2010 also known as Bangton Boys is a seven member band that made their debut under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013 with their single album ‘2 Cool 4 Skool’. Later they released two studio albums, ‘Dark & Wild’ in Korean language and ‘Wake Up’ in Japanese language in 2014 followed by ‘Wings’, a Korean studio album which went on to sell one million copies in South Korea.

Their album ‘Love Yourself : Tear’ was the first Korean act to top the US Billboard 200 chart and BTS has became the fastest group since the Beatles to earn four US No.1 albums in less than two years. Their other album ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ has become super successful by featuring on top among all the music albums across the world.

By The Love Yourself world tour, BTS has become the first Asian and non-English speaking band to perform in front of a sell out crowd in the prestigious Wembley and Rose Bowl Stadiums which was not a mean achievement. In addition, BTS has reaped many awards and accolades on their way to glory which was quite phenomenal.

BTS comprising of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook monopolised the music world in the month of June with their latest hit ‘Butter’ creating a new record. The song is on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the fifth consecutive week. ‘Butter; racked up 12.4 million U.S. streams, 27.6 million radio airplay impressions and 128,400 downloads over the past week.  As per Billboard, these statistics are used to decide the Hot 100. BTS has set the world record for the longest stretch ever held for a No. 1 by a single group.

Earlier, this record was held by Aerosmith with their 1998 hit song, ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’. This song featured in the Ben Affleck and Bruce Willis starrer Armageddon has become an all time hit. Now this record was shattered by ‘Butter’ from BTS which is the first Asian band to do so creating history in the pop music world.
