Based on the original story by Nanda Periyasamy, Rashmi Rocket is directed by Akarsh Khurana who earlier made Karwaan starring Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mithila Parkar and is also popular for his successful web series Tripling, Yeh Meri Family from TVF, and the recent web series Mismatched. Screenplay for Rashmi Rocket is by Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha, and Kanika Dhillon.

Tapsee Pannu plays the character of Rashmi who fascinated her from the day one when she was told the story. Rashmi has to compete not only with others to touch the finish line she also has to overcome several hurdles on her way to gain her identity, respect, and honour which made this character very special in the acting career of Tapsee.
