The highly anticipated romantic comedy, Filing for Love, is set to make its debut, and its leading cast members — Shin Hae Sun, Gong Myoung, Kim Jae Wook, and Hong Hwa Yeon — have offered compelling reasons why audiences should mark their calendars for this evening’s premiere. This tvN production promises a refreshing blend of corporate intrigue and heartfelt romance, poised to capture the attention of K-drama enthusiasts globally.

Unpacking the Premise: Romance Meets Corporate Intrigue

Filing for Love plunges viewers into the unexpected world of internal audits, intertwining professional challenges with burgeoning romance. The narrative follows Noh Ki Jun (Gong Myoung), a distinguished audit department superstar at a major corporation, whose career takes an unforeseen turn when he’s reassigned to the internal misconduct unit. This demotion throws him into close proximity with Joo In Ah (Shin Hae Sun), a formidable yet unconventional team leader with a carefully guarded secret. Their professional dynamic is ripe for both conflict and connection, forming the core of this innovative series.

With the inaugural episode airing tonight, the ensemble cast has shared exclusive insights into what makes this drama a must-watch, teasing the unique elements and character dynamics viewers can eagerly anticipate.

Shin Hae Sun: A Fresh Take on Workplace Audits

Shin Hae Sun, embodying the tenacious Joo In Ah, highlighted the drama’s distinctive appeal. “I believe the subject matter of ‘workplace misconduct audits,’ which might initially seem unfamiliar, offers a novel and engaging form of entertainment,” she remarked. She particularly urged viewers to focus on the initial episodes. “In Episodes 1 and 2 especially, pay close attention to how this distinctive premise unfolds, and observe the fascinating clashes and entanglements between characters, each driven by their own motives, within the audit department’s confines.” Shin Hae Sun expressed her hope that Filing for Love would become “a small source of joy amidst your happy moments,” suggesting its potential to uplift and entertain.

Gong Myoung: Chemistry and Character Nuances

Gong Myoung, stepping into the role of Noh Ki Jun, exuded confidence regarding the on-screen relationship. “From the very first episode, the chemistry between Joo In Ah and Noh Ki Jun will be incredibly enjoyable to witness,” he declared. Elaborating on his preparation, he shared, “To effectively convey Noh Ki Jun’s distinct personality, I meticulously focused on aspects like his wardrobe, speech patterns, and facial expressions during my preparation. If you follow Noh Ki Jun’s perspective throughout the series, you are sure to fully appreciate the narrative.”

Kim Jae Wook: Realistic Incidents and Fast-Paced Charm

Kim Jae Wook takes on the character of Jeon Jae Yeol, the vice chairman of Haemu Group and a chaebol heir. He emphasized the drama’s immersive qualities. “A diverse range of incidents unfolds in every single episode,” he noted. “I found them remarkably realistic, and because these everyday occurrences are depicted so authentically, it’s very easy to become deeply immersed in the drama’s world.” He further highlighted the central romantic progression: “Witnessing the two main leads gradually draw closer through their chaotic professional journey is particularly captivating. As a contemporary drama, the plot maintains a brisk pace. Discovering the nature of Audit Team 3’s work promises to be highly entertaining, so please look forward to it.”

Hong Hwa Yeon: Beyond the Surface of Park Ah Jeong

Hong Hwa Yeon portrays Park Ah Jeong, Jeon Jae Yeol’s secretary. She invited viewers to delve deeper into the character dynamics. “Beyond Joo In Ah’s captivating cat-like charm and Noh Ki Jun’s endearing puppy-like qualities, I think it would be fascinating for viewers to consider what kind of impressions Jeon Jae Yeol and Park Ah Jeong evoke,” she suggested. Hong Hwa Yeon also detailed her dedication to her role: “I put significant thought into how to present the various facets of Park Ah Jeong, a character who is both distant and yet undeniably lovable. Given her glamorous persona, I also paid meticulous attention to her appearance, drawing inspiration from numerous sources, and I hope viewers will appreciate my performance.”
