Netflix has officially revealed the release date for its much-anticipated series Soul Mate, featuring Korean singer and actor Ok Taecyeon alongside Japanese talent Hayato Isomura. This groundbreaking boys’ love (BL) drama marks Taecyeon’s debut in this genre and has captured the attention of fans across Asia.

Scheduled to launch on May 14, 2026, Soul Mate is a unique collaboration between Korean and Japanese talent. Hayato Isomura, renowned for his role in Alice in Borderland, joins Taecyeon in this gripping narrative that explores themes of love and healing. The series provides a first look teaser, released by Netflix Japan on February 12, as part of its 2025 preview, giving audiences a glimpse into the series’ emotional depth.

On January 27, Netflix showcased its 2026 lineup, confirming that Soul Mate will be part of its offerings. A promotional post shared on Netflix Philippines’ X account highlighted the dynamic duo, further igniting excitement among fans.

As they navigate life’s challenges, Johan and Ryun help each other confront their pain and loneliness, ultimately forging a deep emotional connection.

Set against the vibrant backdrops of Seoul, Berlin, and Tokyo, Soul Mate promises to be a visually stunning experience as it chronicles the evolution of the characters’ romance over ten years.
