The trailer of Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi’s Mimi got dropped today to a rousing response. Kriti Sanon is playing the role of a surrogate mother in this film inspired by the 2010 Marathi movie Mala Aai Vhhaychy which won the National Award for best feature film in Marathi in 2011.
Talking about her character in the film, Kriti Sanon said, “I am very excited. It’s based on the subject of surrogacy but actually it’s the story of this young girl who wants to be an actor. She’s a dancer in Mandawa and she ends up being a surrogate for a couple. Then, the things that follow change her life and also change her as a person.”
Kriti has put on 15 kg weight for this character which was a challenging one for her as it was close to her heart and wanted to give out the best. “For me, putting on so many kilos is actually a challenge as it’s very new for my body.
