Final Destination: Bloodlines has emerged as a box office powerhouse in India, closely following Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning. While it continues to perform well in theaters, those who missed the theatrical release can now watch it on OTT platforms. The film, released on May 16, debuted on Prime Video on June 17, 2025. Bloodlines has achieved the status of the franchise’s most successful entry, raking in an impressive $271.7 million globally. Critics have hailed it as the best installment yet, boasting a strong 92% rating on ‘Rotten Tomatoes.’

The plot follows Stefani Reyes (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) as she experiences nightmares of a woman named Iris, who is revealed to be her grandmother. Stefani is troubled by visions of a hotel tower collapse that results in widespread fatalities back in 1968. She returns home to unearth the truth, only to discover that these images were not mere dreams but inherited premonitions from her grandmother, Iris Campbell. As she investigates her family’s history and reconnects with her estranged grandmother—who dies while revealing critical information—Stefani learns of an impending chain of deaths threatening her family. She realizes death is after her entire lineage, and she must break the curse before time runs out. The film keeps viewers engaged until its thrilling climax and has received enthusiastic reviews worldwide.
Despite some theaters dropping the film by its fifth weekend, it sustained a robust performance. In North America, it grossed $130.64 million, narrowly missing a spot behind The Silence of the Lambs, making it the 18th highest-grossing horror film in US history. With a production budget of $50 million, it garnered over $141.1 million internationally, bringing its total earnings to $271.74 million. In India, amidst tough competition from films like Mission: Impossible and various Bollywood releases, it achieved over ₹76 crore, opening with a commendable ₹4.5 crore on its first day.
The film features Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani Reyes, Teo Briones as her younger brother Charlie, Gabrielle Rose as Iris, and Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, and Anna Lore as the Campbell cousins. Tony Todd returns to reprise his iconic role as William Bludworth.
