The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025, one of India’s most anticipated film celebrations, unfolded in grand style at EKA Arena, Ahmedabad, marking a spectacular tribute to Hindi cinema’s finest achievements of 2024. Presented in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, the glittering night blended star-studded glamour, heartfelt emotions, and cinematic brilliance that enthralled viewers across the nation.

A highlight of the evening was the long-awaited return of Shah Rukh Khan as host after a remarkable 17-year hiatus. The superstar’s unmatched charm set the tone for the evening, joined by the ever-witty Karan Johar and dynamic entertainer Maniesh Paul. The trio’s effortless chemistry and humor kept the audience engaged throughout the ceremony.

Adding high-voltage energy to the night were breathtaking performances from Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, and Siddhant Chaturvedi—with the latter two marking their Filmfare stage debuts.

This year, Laapataa Ladies stood out as the biggest winner, sweeping multiple accolades across top categories. The film not only earned critical acclaim but also won hearts with its compelling storytelling and powerful performances.

With Laapataa Ladies dominating the winners’ board and Alia Bhatt’s powerful performance in Jigra taking center stage, the night belonged to the storytellers who pushed creative boundaries in 2024. The Filmfare Awards 2025 not only honored cinematic brilliance but also reaffirmed Bollywood’s enduring love affair with storytelling, performance, and artistry.
