Mumbai has officially stepped into BTS’ golden world as Jungkook’s “Golden: The Moments” exhibition opens its doors at Mehboob Studios, Bandra. Marking his first official activity in India, the event has transformed the bustling neighborhood into a hub of excitement for fans, blending international-scale production with a distinctly local atmosphere.
From the morning hours, chants of “BTS!” followed by an even louder “Jungkook!” echoed through the streets as fans gathered — some adorned in shimmering gold, others simply carrying the rhythm of his music in portable speakers. The air was charged with anticipation, making the experience feel larger than life even before entering the venue.
For Indian ARMY, who have long admired BTS from afar through screens and social media, this exhibition is more than an event; it’s a tangible piece of the global phenomenon. Inside, the journey begins with “Golden: Journey”, a striking corridor mapping Jungkook’s transformation from BTS’ youngest member into a celebrated solo artist. Showcasing rare photographs, timelines, and behind-the-scenes glimpses, it offers a heartfelt reminder that global superstars start as dreamers.
The tone shifts with “Golden: Moments”, a space celebrating the defining achievements of Jungkook’s solo career — including record-breaking streams, viral performances, and awards. Rather than overwhelming visitors with statistics, the exhibition focuses on the emotions and memories these milestones represent for fans.
A captivating narrative tunnel then guides attendees through three unique interpretations of the “Golden” album — Shine, Solid, and Substance — each reflecting a different facet of Jungkook’s artistry. The “Golden: Shine” area plays his most iconic performances on looping screens alongside actual stage outfits fans have analyzed in detail online, bringing them closer to the energy of his live shows.
Meanwhile, “Golden: Solid” shifts toward the foundation of his craft, highlighting practice sessions and moments of quiet reflection — proof of the dedication beneath the glamour. In “Golden: Substance”, visitors encounter an intimate portrait of Jungkook’s creative process, complete with interactive audio stems of “Hate You,” stripping away production to reveal the raw texture of his vocals.
The exhibition’s emotional core comes in the Substance Room, guided by Jungkook’s own words: “My golden moments are when I become one with ARMY at concerts.” Fans are invited to leave handwritten messages, doodles, and signatures, building a living archive of Indian ARMY’s presence.
Brought to India through a collaboration between HYBE and BookMyShow Live, “Golden: The Moments” runs from December 12 to January 11, signaling a deeper connection between global pop culture and the Indian entertainment scene. For fans, this isn’t just an exhibition — it’s the world of Jungkook unfolding in front of them after nearly a decade of waiting.
Judging by the chants still echoing through Bandra’s lanes, Indian ARMY was more than ready to welcome their golden star.
