Asuka Kirara, an influencer and former adult film actress, addressed rumors on social media concerning her alleged involvement in a scandal that led to K-pop singer Ju Haknyeon’s dismissal from his group, The Boyz.
In her post on X, Kirara referred to the claims as “baseless speculations” and urged the public not to disseminate false information.
She also firmly denied ever receiving payment for private sexual services, including any interactions with Ju.
Kirara suggested that a woman she encountered at the time, whom she believed had feelings for Ju, had taken photographs of them and sold the images to the Japanese news outlet Shūkan Bunshu.
Photos of Ju and Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo on May 29 were circulated, with some media outlets alleging that Ju had compensated the actress for sexual favors.
Subsequently, Ju’s label, One Hundred, announced his exit from the group. In response, Ju took to social media to assert that his dismissal constituted a breach of contract and vehemently denied the allegations regarding supposed payment for sex with Kirara.
One Hundred countered his comments with their own statement labeling Ju’s claims as false.
The agency explained, “We initially chose to suspend Ju Haknyeon’s activities after recognizing that this issue could significantly harm the group’s reputation. Following a thorough review, we informed him that the incident warranted contract termination under Article 6, Clause 3 of his exclusive agreement, which addresses ‘conduct that harms the dignity of an artist to the extent that it hinders entertainment activities.’ We then made our decision accordingly.”
