Despite its modest budget of ₹12 crores, the film remarkably earned ₹72 crores worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films and surprising the industry with its success, including a successful Telugu theatrical run.
Directed by Khalid Rahman and produced by Zabin George, Sameer Karat, and Subeesh Kannancheri, Alappuzha Gymkhana features Naslen, Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Franco Francis, Baby Jean, and Shiva Hariharan, among others.
The film’s balanced mix of comedy and chaos has captivated viewers. The story revolves around Jojo Johnson (Naslen), a college student who joins boxing to gain admission to his preferred college through the sports quota.
