For millions of BTS fans globally, known as ARMY, the long-awaited moment is nearly here. BTS FESTA 2025 has been officially announced, and it promises to be one of the most heartfelt celebrations the group has ever organized.
This year’s FESTA, which commemorates BTS’s 12th anniversary, is set to take place on June 13 and 14 at the KINTEX Exhibition Centre 2 in Goyang, South Korea. However, the excitement extends beyond just another anniversary; there’s an anticipation that something significant is on the horizon.
The festivities kicked off spectacularly on May 31, when BTS unveiled a surprise video titled “[2025 FESTA] BTS News” to announce the event. The video was both playful and poignant, featuring Jin and J-Hope, the first two members to return after fulfilling their mandatory military service.
Presented as a whimsical news segment, the clip showcased Jin as a cheeky news anchor and J-Hope reporting live, exuding his signature charm and energy. This wasn’t merely a lighthearted skit; it conveyed a profound message to fans: BTS is gradually reuniting, and they have missed ARMY just as much as ARMY has missed them.
Every FESTA comes with a distinct theme, and this year’s theme, “Twelve O’Clock,” is particularly significant. It draws inspiration from BTS’s emotional ballad “Zero O’Clock,” a song about healing, hope, and new beginnings. The symbolism is unmistakable: a new chapter is about to unfold.
Heightening the anticipation is a message on the official FESTA website that states:
“Time for us to meet again. On June 13, 2025, beyond a long wait, we begin our festival together again, as ‘us.’”
The simple word “us” has ignited numerous fan theories. Some speculate it suggests all seven members will finally reunite on stage, while others believe it signifies the enduring connection between BTS and their fans.
Although BigHit has not confirmed whether the full group will perform live this year, the two-day event at KINTEX promises an immersive BTS experience. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:
- A FESTA-themed game zone filled with engaging activities
- DIY photo card-making stations for fans to create mementos
- A large coloring wall inspired by BTS’s iconic album artwork
- Hourly light displays illuminating the venue in BTS colors
- A voice zone where fans can listen to special recorded messages from the members
- An exhibit showcasing past album covers, awards, and even personal lockers of the members
For fans unable to travel to South Korea, there will be online content released throughout the month-long celebration, including the return of BTS LIVE, the annual family portrait, and limited-edition merchandise drops that ARMYs eagerly anticipate.
Last year’s FESTA left a lasting impression. Jin, fresh from completing his military service, made his first public appearance since returning, and it was truly magical. He met 1,000 fortunate fans, personally hugging each one, a gesture that brought many to tears. He also performed his solo tracks on stage.
Even though the other members were still serving at that time, they sent heartfelt letters that were read during the event, serving as a beautiful reminder of the strong bond they share with ARMY.
This year’s FESTA feels different. With more members expected to return from military service in June, including RM and others from the younger line, fans are beginning to feel that a full group reunion might be imminent. The hope is more palpable than ever, reflected in the preparations of ARMYs worldwide for the celebration.
Regardless of whether all seven members take the stage this year, one thing is certain: this FESTA signifies the start of a new chapter in BTS’s journey. After years of anticipation, ARMYs can finally express the words they’ve been holding onto:
They’re coming back.
