According to recent reports, he will be starring in a high-budget action thriller set to debut on Netflix.
According to reports in media, Sunny’s new project is being developed by Suparn Varma, known for creating The Family Man 2, Rana Naidu, and Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. The superstar is currently in advanced discussions with Netflix India to take on a leading role in this action thriller. While a director has not yet been finalized, a well-known filmmaker who has directed a period drama for the streaming platform is under consideration.
At this stage, the film is in the writing phase, with production schedules expected to be determined based on Sunny’s availability and the script’s readiness. The reports indicate that Sunny is enthusiastic about this venture, which will introduce him to the digital streaming arena after captivating audiences on the big screen.
In the meantime, Sunny has several exciting projects lined up for his fans. He is preparing for Border 2, a sequel to his cult classic, which will also feature Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Border 2 is set to be released in theaters on Republic Day 2026. Additionally, he has Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947 in his roster, where he will share the screen with Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, and Ali Fazal.
Furthermore, he is ready to portray Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the leading roles. Sunny also has Jaat 2 on the horizon.
