Nominations for BAFTA TV Awards 2020

‘Chernobyl’ & ‘Crown’ lead nominations for BAFTA 2020
The nominations for BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts), British Academy Television Awards & British Academy Television Crafts Awards for 2020 are out and its the Sky Atlantic / HBO’s Chernobyl which bagged the top spot with as many as fourteen nominations in varied categories in both the TV and craft awards including the, leading actor for Jared Harris, mini-series and supporting actor for Stellan Skarsgard. In addition, it got nominated in departments like costume design, director fiction, editing fiction, make-up and hair design, original music, photography and lighting fiction, production design, scripted casting, sound fiction, special, visual and graphic effects, writer (drama).
 
This is followed by Netflix’s The Crown getting nominated in 7 categories, Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag with 6 nominations and Sex Education with 4 nominations leading the pack.

The awards ceremony is going to be held virtually on July 31 and July 17 by making these events as socially distanced shows with nominees being invited to accept the awards virtually.
