Amazon Prime Video has finally revealed the official artwork for the second season of its acclaimed global series Fallout. The new poster – which also announces a December 2025 debut – shows the returning protagonists Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, Maximus and The Ghoul’s faithful dog Dogmeat standing on the outskirts of New Vegas.
The image confirms that the story will shift to the iconic desert metropolis, a location first hinted at the close of Season 1 when Overseer Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) was seen marching toward the city limits.
According to a press release from the creators, Season 2 takes place fifteen years after the events of the video‑game “Fallout: New Vegas.” Co‑showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson‑Dworet have previously stressed that, while the series inhabits the same universe, New Vegas will not be an exact replica of its game counterpart.
The poster and the tentative release date were posted on Instagram on Thursday. Wagner explained in the accompanying statement:
“What we really want the audience to understand is that things have moved on, so we’re not expecting viewers to pick up Season 2 as if it follows any one of the many canonical endings that result from player choices in Fallout: New Vegas.”
He added:
“The post‑credits scene is meant to signal that the world has progressed. It would be absurd to think the wasteland stays static decade after decade. It’s a place of constant tragedy, horror and trauma – there’s always something happening. We’re definitely implying that a lot has occurred since the first season.”

The showrunners also confirmed that Robert House, who appeared briefly in a pre‑war flashback in Season 1, will return for Season 2.
Returning cast members include Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, Xelia Mendes‑Jones and Walton Goggins. They will be joined by a new addition, Macaulay Culkin, who will portray “a crazy‑genius‑type character.”
Based on one of gaming’s most beloved franchises, Fallout explores the divide between the privileged and the destitute in a world where almost nothing is left to claim. Two centuries after the nuclear apocalypse, the comfortable survivors of high‑tech vaults are forced to emerge into the irradiated ruins their ancestors created – only to discover a wildly complex, delightfully off‑kilter, and brutally violent universe waiting for them.
The series is produced by Kilter Films, with executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham. Geneva Robertson‑Dworet and Graham Wagner also serve as executive producers, creators and showrunners. Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard and James Altman (Bethesda Softworks) are executive producers as well. Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films co‑produce the show in partnership with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
