“Work Later, Drink Now 2” has unveiled an exciting new highlight teaser previewing lots of special appearances!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Work Later, Drink Now” tells the story of three women whose life philosophies revolve around having a drink after getting off work. Lee Sun Bin stars as television writer Ahn So Hee, Han Sun Hwa plays yoga instructor Han Ji Yeon, Apink’s Jung Eun Ji plays origami YouTuber Kang Ji Goo, and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon plays producing director Kang Book Goo.
Although the new teaser kicks off with the expected alcohol-filled bash, Ahn So Hee then shockingly declares, “We’ve quit drinking.” She explains, “The day before her chemotherapy, Ji Yeon left, just like that.” After catching up with her, Ahn So Hee and Kang Ji Goo cheer up their friend by saying, “[We’re going to] do everything you want to do and eat everything you want to eat. We’re going to do it all.” In an attempt to get away and heal, the trio embarks on a trip into nature and adapts to their new life in the woods.
However, their retreat only lasts a brief moment as they soon return to the city and their usual drunk antics. Ahn So Hee returns to the hardships of her job as she attempts to cast the busy members of BTS and realizes the celebrity she had in mind has been convicted.
Han Ji Yeon joins a new yoga studio where her unbreakable spirit finally meets its match in a bold yoga instructor played by Yoo In Young. In order to help out her friends, Kang Ji Goo picks up part-time jobs as a delivery person and origami instructor for convicts. She ends up butting heads with a convict (played by Jo Yu Ri) to whom she comments, “You folded it wrong.” The convict asks, “So what?” and Kang Ji Goo replies, “It’s ruined.” However, the convict does not back down and instead firmly states, “You’re saying that to us, who have criminal records?”
When Ahn So Hee mysteriously stops showing up to work, her co-worker Kang Book Goo steps up to find her and accidentally gets roped up into the trio’s drunk antics.
Something else in store for the girls are romantic relationships, with Kang Ji Goo developing a bond with “Mr. Nice Paper” (Yoon Shi Yoon), whom she previously met up with on Christmas in Season 1. Ahn So Hee and Kang Book Goo’s relationship heats up quickly and intriguingly, as Ahn So Hee shows her affection in unusual ways. Han Ji Yeon meets her love interest (played by Son Ho Jun) over drinks and he hilariously comments in a robotic tone, “This is my first time seeing a girl funnier than me. Everyone, let’s cheers!”
