The Most-Watched Shows of 2025 – “Bluey” tops the list

2025 has turned into a banner year for animation on television, with six of the 20 most‑watched titles belonging to that genre.

Nielsen just published its “most‑streamed shows” ranking for the January‑through‑June period. Leading the pack is Disney+’s hit family series Bluey, which racked up an astonishing 25.059 billion minutes of viewing. Nielsen praised the show, noting that “all 154 episodes continue to captivate kids, parents and Disney alike.”

Animation dominates the list: Bluey sits at #1, followed by Family Guy at #4, Bob’s Burgers at #5, SpongeBob SquarePants at #6, American Dad! at #12, and South Park at #20.

The next two spots belong to live‑action dramas: Grey’s Anatomy is #2 with 22.551 billion minutes, and NCIS comes in at #3 with 19.117 billion minutes.

Even though many of the top‑ranked titles have hundreds of episodes, Netflix’s limited‑run series Squid Game performed admirably, logging 15.074 billion minutes and earning the #9 overall slot. It also topped Nielsen’s “most‑watched original series” category.

Unsurprisingly, HBO Max’s The White Lotus appears on the list as well, with its 21 episodes generating 11.462 billion minutes of streams.
