The heartfelt track, sung by Faheem Abdullah, is scheduled for release today on September 23 at 11.a.m (IST), and anticipation around the song is already on the rise. During a conversation with IANS, Tanya expressed how delighted she was to be a part of the project, adding that Sunny’s effortless performance added depth and charm to the story they brought alive on screen.
She also highlighted director Jayprad Desai’s vision, noting that his approach beautifully tied all the creative aspects together. Tanya further mentioned that seeing Jayprad and Sunny’s earlier collaboration in Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba set high expectations, which made working on Jaana Nahi even more special. The shooting locations across Goa and Maharashtra, with their breathtaking landscapes, added to the emotional essence of the song.
While fans are excited about the music video, Tanya Maniktala has another intriguing release lined up. She will next be seen in Paan Parda Zarda, a gritty drama that dives deep into the dark underworld of illegal opium smuggling in central India. Announced in 2023, the series has already created buzz for its gripping storyline and intense character portrayals.
The show features a stellar cast including Priyanshu Painyuli, Sushant Singh, Rajesh Tailang, and Manu Rishi. Tanya shared her enthusiasm about being part of this unique project, which sets itself apart with its layered storytelling, powerful character arcs, and dramatic tension.
Tanya Maniktala’s acting career started in 2018 with School Days. However, her breakthrough role came in 2020 when she starred as Lata Mehra in Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy, opposite Ishaan Khattar—a performance that won her widespread recognition. Since then, she has been part of several notable projects including Netflix’s Feels Like Ishq, Chutzpah, How To Fall In Love, and the film Mumbaikar alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Vikrant Massey.
She has also featured in Tooth Pari opposite Shantanu Maheshwari, the investigative thriller P.I. Meena, and Flames Season 3. Most recently in 2024, she starred in Kill opposite Lakshya, where she played the character Tulika.
