Sony Pictures Entertainment has released an official behind‑the‑scenes clip from Spider‑Man: Brand New Day that captures Tom Holland during a spectacular tank chase sequence and shows him chatting with fans and director Destin Daniel Cretton on his first day of filming. This upcoming title marks Holland’s fourth solo Spider‑Man adventure, following Spider‑Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider‑Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider‑Man: No Way Home (2021).
On Sunday, August 10, Sony posted a minute‑long video of Holland’s Day 1 on the set of Brand New Day. The footage features the actor performing a tank‑pursuit stunt, conversing with Cretton and the fans who were present, and reflecting on his fourth turn as the MCU’s Peter Parker/Spider‑Man.
The clip opens with Holland arriving on set and sharing a hug with Cretton. He is then asked how he feels, to which the 29‑year‑old replies, “Yeah, I feel good, man.”
Holland remarks in the video that this is his “fourth ever day one on Spider‑Man,” adding, “It’s funny putting the suit on—it feels different this time. It’s also the first time we’ve had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them. I’m just going to do my best.”
He notes that several familiar faces were on set as he greets what appear to be returning crew members, then comments on the film, “Hopefully we get it right. No pressure.”
After shooting a scene involving the tank, Holland exclaims, “That felt sick!”
Director Destin Daniel Cretton is shaping Brand New Day from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. In addition to Holland, the ensemble includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Sadie Sink.
Holland also shared the same clip on his Instagram account. Spider‑Man: Brand New Day is slated to open in U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026.
