At the grand success celebration for her latest film The Girlfriend in Hyderabad, actress Rashmika Mandanna spoke warmly about fellow star Vijay Deverakonda, describing him as “a blessing” in her life. Her heartfelt words and visible camaraderie with Vijay drew significant attention, especially amid ongoing speculation about the duo’s relationship status.

During her speech at the event, Rashmika publicly acknowledged Vijay’s involvement in the film’s journey, noting his consistent support from the early stages of production. “Viju, you’ve been connected to this project from the start and played an important role in its success. Your presence has been deeply personal to me throughout this experience,” she said to him directly on stage.

She went on to express the depth of her appreciation, stating that she hopes everyone has someone like Vijay Deverakonda in their life. “It’s a real blessing,” she added, prompting loud applause from the audience. The positive energy of the gathering was palpable as the two appeared together before fans, despite persistent rumours of an engagement and a possible wedding in February — neither of which has been confirmed by the actors.

Ahead of the movie’s release, Vijay had shared his thoughts on social media, praising the film’s powerful narrative. He described The Girlfriend as a thought-provoking work with top-notch performances from the cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Dheekshith Shetty, and Anu Emmanuel. “It’s something that will leave an impact,” he wrote, encouraging followers to watch it in theatres.

Rashmika responded online to Vijay’s post, agreeing with his sentiments and calling the film “a slow burn that lasts long.” She added that Vijay had, in many ways, been part of the film since its inception, and expressed hope that he would be proud of her work.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran, The Girlfriend is currently running in theatres and has been earning praise for its engaging storyline and strong performances. With Rashmika’s candid admiration for Vijay and their undeniable chemistry on stage, the success meet has sparked conversations across social media, further fueling interest in the film — and in the possible future of one of Telugu cinema’s most talked-about pairs.
