The live‑action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga confirms a return for Season 3, featuring Miss All‑Sunday, Miss Wednesday, Captain Smoker and Brogy.

This year’s One Piece Day—Tokyo’s annual celebration of the series’ debut—delivered major announcements for Netflix’s live‑action production.

A batch of first‑look photographs from Season 2, along with a new teaser trailer, has been released, showcasing Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, his fellow Straw Hat crew members, and the first concrete looks at several new characters joining the story.

The newcomers include Lera Abova (Honey Don’t!) as Miss All‑Sunday, Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton) as Miss Wednesday, Callum Kerr (Monarch) as Captain Smoker, and Brendan Murray (Raised by Wolves) as Brogy.

The teaser concludes with the second headline: Netflix has already secured an early renewal for Season 3. Production for the third installment will begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa, ahead of Season 2’s slated Netflix debut in 2026.

Season 3 will also see a shift in creative leadership. While Matt Owens and Joe Tracz co‑served as showrunners, writers and executive producers for Season 2, Tracz will continue in those roles alongside new co‑showrunner Ian Stokes for the upcoming season.

Owens announced earlier that he is stepping away from the series “to take a break and focus on myself and my mental health.”

According to the official synopsis, Season 2 follows “Luffy and the Straw Hats as they set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they navigate this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they will encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”

In the teaser, Godoy’s Luffy declares, “Everything I’ve done, everywhere I go is for the One Piece.”

Returning to the high seas in the Season 2 reveal are Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Jacob Romero as Usopp. No premiere date has been set yet.

Earlier this year, during Netflix’s Tudum event, the streamer unveiled Tony Tony Chopper for the first time. Mikaela Hoover provides the voice for the reindeer‑boy hybrid, explaining, “What excited me about playing Chopper is the tug of war between his standoffishness and his huge heart. He tries so hard to hide his emotions and put on a tough exterior, but underneath he’s a big softy, and his love can’t help but come out.”
