Today marks the 100th birth anniversary of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao- NTR, the legendary Telugu actor and former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh. Many people paid their respects to NTR on this occasion.
It is no exaggeration if there are Telugu people who do not know NTR. Such is the impression he left as a protagonist and politician. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is the great man whom the Telugu people fondly call ‘Brother’. He is God in the hearts of fans. NTR stands for self respect of Telugu people. Today is NTR’s centenary. Sr NTR’s son Nandmauir Balakrishna and grandson Jr NTR paid tribute to him at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad today, along with many fans of the late actor. Tarak and Balayya became emotional while paying tribute to the Tollywood legend NTR. Both offered floral tributes at NTR Ghat.
NTR first movie was ‘Mana Desam’. However, his break came with the movie ‘Patala Bhairavi’. After that, stardom came. Krishna and Rama are remembered by the Telugu people as the world famous actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. He also acted as Rama in many movies. ‘Ramudu – Bheemudu’ was NTR’s first double role movie. It was released in 1964. After that he did dual roles in about 17 movies.
