Billboard paid tribute to the leading forces behind Latin music during its Latin Power Players 2025 celebration in Miami — a vibrant evening of recognition, music, and connection presented by Johnnie Walker. The annual event brought together some of the most influential figures in the industry, uniting artists, executives, and creatives to honor a year of record-breaking accomplishments and cultural impact.
A Star-Studded Night in Miami
On Monday, October 20, the waterfront venue Casadonna Miami hosted a glamorous gathering filled with energy and excitement as part of Billboard Latin Music Week. Guests arrived to a red-carpet moment before stepping inside to enjoy signature cocktails and the rhythmic beats that set the tone for the evening. Among the crowd were top executives, chart-topping artists, and key tastemakers shaping the current Latin music scene.
Inside, Johnnie Walker ensured the celebration was as flavorful as it was festive. Attendees sipped mini Carajillos crafted with Johnnie Walker Black Label, while other creative drinks — including a Bad Johnnie served in a branded coconut — added flair to the culinary experience. The floral photo backdrop and picturesque views of Miami’s coast created the perfect blend of elegance and tropical charm.
Recognizing Latin Music’s Top Achievers
The night’s formal tributes began with remarks from Hannah Karp, Billboard’s Editorial Director, and Leila Cobo, Chief Content Officer for Latin/Español. Their words set the stage for a series of honors highlighting labels and executives driving Latin music’s growth across the globe.
The Top Regional Mexican Albums Label of the Year award went to Double P Records, founded by Peso Pluma and George Prajin, while Universal Music Latin Entertainment earned Regional Mexican Airplay Label of the Year, proudly accepted by Angel Kaminsky and Ana Martínez. Rimas captured two major distinctions — Top Latin Rhythm Albums Label of the Year and Hot Latin Songs Label of the Year — further cementing its dominance.
Executive of the Year Spotlight
The evening reached an emotional peak when Nir Seroussi, head of Interscope Capitol Miami, was named Latin Power Players Executive of the Year. His recognition drew a standing ovation, heightened by heartfelt tributes from J Balvin, Xavii, and John Janick, CEO of Interscope, who took the stage to celebrate his achievements and leadership within the Latin music industry.
As the night wound down, it was clear that Billboard’s Latin Power Players 2025 not only honored excellence but also reflected the unstoppable global rise of Latin music — a force that continues to inspire and unite audiences around the world.
