Kim Seon Ho & Go Youn Jung Deliver Unmissable Chemistry in Netflix’s Can This Love Be Translated?

Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for its highly anticipated K-drama Can This Love Be Translated?, putting the magnetic on-screen connection between Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung front and center. This latest teaser offers a tantalizing glimpse into a romance built on misinterpretations, glances that convey more than dialogue, and moments where language becomes both a bridge and a barrier.

The streaming giant is clearly leaning into the emotional highs and lows that have made Korean dramas a global phenomenon. In recent months, Netflix has served viewers an eclectic mix—from supernatural fox spirits to brooding crime thrillers—ensuring that every genre enthusiast has something to binge. Titles like The Wonder Fools with Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo, and the leather-clad intensity of Bloodhounds Season 2 featuring Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, and Rain, have only set the stage for Can This Love Be Translated? to make waves.

In the trailer, Kim Seon Ho’s character Joo Ho-jin finds his linguistic expertise colliding with the glamorous world of Cha Mu-hee, played by Go Youn Jung. The result? A series of charmingly awkward encounters—stolen earpieces, unexpected rooftop meetings, and cross-cultural misunderstandings that turn everyday situations into comedic yet emotionally resonant moments.

Set against backdrops in Japan, Canada, and Italy, the teaser uses visual storytelling to show that human connection often transcends words. Whether through shared earphones or silent glances, these scenes underscore the drama’s central theme—that love speaks in many languages, and sometimes silence says the most.

With the acclaimed Hong Sisters penning the script and Yoo Young-eun directing, Can This Love Be Translated? promises a blend of humor, heartache, and visual elegance. The ensemble cast also includes Sota Fukushi, Lee E-dam, and Choi Woo-sung. Fans can mark January 16, 2026, on their calendars for the official premiere.

While waiting, viewers can revisit Kim Seon Ho’s standout performances in When Life Gives You Tangerines and Start-Up, both of which showcase his charm and romantic timing. Go Youn Jung’s career highlights include Alchemy of Souls, where she blends fantasy with romance, and Sweet Home, a suspense-driven series that proves her versatility.

For those drawn to romantic comedies, Netflix’s Business Proposal and Shooting Stars deliver similar doses of witty banter, endearing misunderstandings, and the irresistible opposites-attract dynamic—making them perfect warm-ups before diving into Can This Love Be Translated?. Fans of the Hong Sisters can also revisit their earlier hits like Hotel Del Luna and A Korean Odyssey, celebrated for intricate plots, striking visuals, and playful dialogue.

With its unique premise, global settings, and an A-list cast, Can This Love Be Translated? is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most talked-about K-dramas of 2026.
