In a vibrant showcase of Gen Z spirit, the K-pop girl group KiiiKiii is kicking off the new year by wholeheartedly embracing the internet slang “delulu”—and they encourage their fans to do the same. The quintet, under Starship Entertainment, has released their highly anticipated second EP, Delulu Pack, framing the act of manifesting ambitious dreams as a form of empowered self-belief.
The group introduced the six-track project at a press event held at Seoul’s Yes24 Live Hall. Member Sui explained the album’s conception, stating, “We approached creating this EP with the same intention as making a New Year’s wish. It’s about putting your hopes and dreams out into the universe.”
True to its title, Delulu Pack draws its central theme from the online term short for “delusional,” which Gen Z has repurposed to describe optimistic, aspirational thinking. The album features the standout lead single “404 (New Era),” a track that cleverly reimagines the classic “404 Not Found” internet error code as a metaphor for liberation and defining one’s own identity. The song is built on a trendy British garage beat, marking a fresh sonic direction for the group.
The accompanying music video further solidifies KiiiKiii’s unique narrative of unwavering confidence. It begins with casual, behind-the-scenes footage of the members awaiting the New Year’s countdown before launching into a cinematic montage. The video seamlessly transitions through childhood memories and wish-fulfillment fantasies, showcasing the members transforming into various iconic personas—from a 2000s pop star to a vintage jazz singer and a charismatic rock artist.
This visual storytelling continues the success of their debut era; their first music video for “I Do Me” was awarded Music Video of the Year at the 2025 Melon Music Awards.
Debuting in March of last year with their first EP, Uncut Gem, KiiiKiii (consisting of members Jiyu, Leesol, Sui, Haum, and Kya) quickly established themselves as Starship’s first new girl group since the successful debut of IVE. Their debut track “I Do Me” became an instant hit, securing wins on MBC’s Show! Music Core and earning them several prestigious rookie awards.
Billed as a “Gen Z-core” group, KiiiKiii’s music consistently centers on themes of individuality and forging one’s own path. Member Kya reinforced this, noting, “While our concepts may evolve, the core message in our music remains constant: believing in ourselves and moving forward with confidence. We hope that resonates with everyone who listens.”
Following a remarkably strong first year, the group is already setting its sights on grander goals. Expressing aspirations for global stages, Sui shared, “A major ambition for us is to perform at international festivals, much like IVE did at Lollapalooza and Summer Sonic. We dream of connecting with fans on those expansive, worldwide platforms.”
With Delulu Pack, KiiiKiii isn’t just releasing new music; they’re promoting a philosophy. They argue that a little “delulu” thinking—the audacity to dream big and believe in oneself—is the first step toward making those dreams a reality.
